不論在篇幅和內容(比喻、神蹟、耶穌的講論)上，馬可福音都及不上馬太及路加福音，且大多數的記述也可以在其他兩卷福音書找到對應，我們不禁要問：馬可福音的價值和在？這「三劍客」被稱為「符類福音」，但夾在馬太(共28章)及路加(共24章)這兩個「大哥哥」中間的馬可(共16章)，似乎毫不起眼。
