《雅各書註釋》由華人聖經學者張略博士以歷史文法研究的方法所撰，注重原文的意思，並將經文重譯，在龐大的篇幅中，讓讀者重思這卷書在當代的意義。本書縱覽近代聖經學者對雅各書的釋義，從現代信徒的生活角度，讓聖經的信息活現眼前。或許，本書的註解讀來難免令人有艱澀的感覺，但作者在原文之後附以中文的翻譯，期望協助不熟識原文的人，也可以知道討論的內容。本書更為每一段經文附上詳盡的釋義，講解雅各書對現代信徒的意義。讀者若是只讀釋義，也可以明白該部分的思想重點，而且其中也包括了應用，這是一般西方註釋書較為忽略的。
